Senior Product Designer

The Role

We're looking for a senior product designer to architect the design system and workflows that power our ERP platform at Omne. You'll own system-level architecture, cross-module consistency, and the semantic structure that makes our designs programmatically sound. Mid-level designers will own individual modules; you'll own the rules, patterns, and infrastructure they work within.

What You'll Own

Design System Architecture

• Build and maintain a scalable, multi-tiered design system in Figma
• Architect semantic variable structures (primitives, semantics, component-specific tokens) that provide clear machine-readable intent
• Construct components with meticulous structure: variants, booleans, semantic layer naming

Cross-Module Design Leadership

• Define patterns and rules that mid-level designers apply across modules
• Translate complex ERP workflows into clear, usable interfaces across web and mobile
• Maintain consistency across inventory, workforce, configuration, and operational domains

Research & Validation

• Lead user and stakeholder interviews, usability testing, and data-driven iteration
• Own the end-to-end design process from discovery to delivery
• Present and validate solutions with cross-functional teams, iterating based on feedback

What We're Looking For

Experience

• 6+ years in product design with deep experience in SaaS or enterprise applications
• Portfolio showing systems thinking, complex workflow design, and high-quality UI/UX
• Proven track record building and maintaining scalable design systems

Figma Mastery

• Expert-level proficiency including Auto Layout, multi-tiered variable architecture, component properties, and design tokens
• You don't just use these features, you structure them for programmatic consumption
• You see the design file as a structured dataset that powers development, not just a visual artifact

Technical Acumen

• Comfortable speaking developer language and understand frontend fundamentals (React or similar)
• Excited by making designs machine-readable and developer-friendly
• Can articulate how your design decisions translate to code architecture

Thinking & Process

• Systems-first mindset — you think in patterns, tokens, and scalable structures
• Can translate complexity into clarity without losing necessary detail
• Strong at articulating design rationale and facilitating constructive discussions
• Champions accessibility (WCAG) and designs for global, diverse users

What's Not a Fit

• Designers who focus on visual polish without systems thinking
• Those uncomfortable with technical collaboration or code-adjacent workflows
• Senior titles without evidence of system-level ownership
• Preference for working in isolation rather than cross-functional collaboration

How You'll Work

You'll work alongside engineering and lead mid-level designers who execute within the system you define. This role requires someone who sees design files as infrastructure, not just deliverables. Someone who cares about how designs scale and how teams use them.
